Why see Annie?
You're never fully dressed without a smile!
Leapin' lizards... Annie is going on tour! Annie is a delightful theatrical experience for the entire family. Don't miss this Tony-winning Broadway production of the timeless family tale of Little Orphan Annie as it heads on its tour across the country. Directed by Jenn Thompson who starred in the original Broadway production as 'Pepper'! Just when we need it most, Annie returns to remind us that sunshine is always right around the corner.
Since its Broadway premiere in 1977, Annie has delighted audiences worldwide and it's a particular favorite of children who love Annie's cheeky demeanor and her bubbly outlook.
From rags to riches...
It's a hard knock life for Annie and the other orphans of Depression Era New York City, under the patronage of the wretched and scheming Miss Hannigan at the Hudson Street Orphanage. One day, Annie's life is changed forever when Grace, the beautiful assistant of the enigmatic millionaire Oscar (Daddy) Warbucks comes to ask for an orphan to stay at his mansion for the Christmas holidays.
This begins a wild and mad-cap adventure where Annie's bright and shining personality wins over the crochety business and teaches him the meaning of love, life and looking on the bright side.
Did you know?
Way before Broadway, Annie made her debut in the comic strip, 'Little Orphan Annie,' by Harold Gray in 1924!
